[iOS] Implement Native HomePod Support

Details

Just this week at WWDC (June 22, 2020), Apple announced support for third party music services on the HomePod.  I'm requesting that Spotify implement native support for the HomePod such that one or even multiple HomePods will appear in the "Connect to a device" menu on any Apple device WITHOUT having to connect through Airplay.  This will also allow users to ask Siri to play songs from Spotify on their HomePod(s).

Apple is opening up the HomePod, and I know there are many other HomePod users that would love to have native Spotify support on their speaker.

On arrive aux 3000 votes !
On croise les doigts pour avoir une réponse positive.

I just transferred my playlists over to Apple Music and cancelled my Spotify family subscription. I left this as the reason:

"No Apple Homepod support, and no response on timeline for when it's available. The ability to integrate has been made available on Apple's part, but Spotify just continues to complain about Apple instead of doing right by their customers.

Bring Homepod support and I'll switch back from Apple Music since I do like Spotify's algo better."

The only thing these guys will understand is money walking out the door.

In the end this actually saves me money, so maybe Spotify did me a favor.

Suppose this thread is a gem for the lawyers that are on Apple’s side in the whole Spotify v Apple court case...

And I see we broke the 3000 votes mark. Still silence though.

Quite disappointed in Spotify. It was/is the same with Apple Watch support... Apple opened up the Download-to-listen offline function and Spotify STILL hasn't implemented it.

This should have been implemented immediately after Apple made it available for 3rd party providers. No excuses possible, it's just pure laziness from Spotify. Cannot imagine they don't have a few developers available to what seems to be quite easy task. Apple always provide very clear and simple APIs.

I will literally switch over to Spotify if this is implemented. However, Spotify's insistence on screwing over Apple users is annoying.

They said they wouldn’t do it for now, about the Apple Watch
