[iOS] Implement Native HomePod Support

Just this week at WWDC (June 22, 2020), Apple announced support for third party music services on the HomePod.  I'm requesting that Spotify implement native support for the HomePod such that one or even multiple HomePods will appear in the "Connect to a device" menu on any Apple device WITHOUT having to connect through Airplay.  This will also allow users to ask Siri to play songs from Spotify on their HomePod(s). 

 

Apple is opening up the HomePod, and I know there are many other HomePod users that would love to have native Spotify support on their speaker.

Please upvote this idea to garner attention for it.  Thank you Spotify and the Spotify community.  Let's get this implemented so it's ready for general iOS 14 release this September!

Apple allows this to work. Spotify doesn‘t care. That is the problem.
Ignoring this feature request further on will bring me to cancel my Spotify subscription and changing to Apple Music.
For me there has never been a reason to do so, but now there is.

Of course we could be all speculating... not that Spotify will ever say anything to correct our speculations so we're all probably collectively right about the "internal war" against Apple.

I'll wait till iOS 15 Update and when spotify still didn't implement spotify connect for homepod,I'll switch to Apple music 

apple did anything that was necessary now it's spotifys turn

I won't be switching from apple music to spotify premium until this is implemented.

I'm working on the others in our family sub to move across to Apple.
Unfortunately I'm the only one with Homepods. If I'm just going to playthe
odd track I ask Siri to play it on my phone and then 'hand' it over by
putting phone near to Homepods. Since Spotify have enabled this I just
can't grasp why they punish their own clients by not enabling it on the
Homepod.

After waiting a couple of months, I finally moved to Apple music.

 

Sad to leave a european company, just because they ignore popular demand - and that after complaining loudly that Apple does not allow them to implement the necessary support...

I'm considering leaving Spotify if nothing is done.
