[iOS] Implement Native HomePod Support

Details

Just this week at WWDC (June 22, 2020), Apple announced support for third party music services on the HomePod.  I'm requesting that Spotify implement native support for the HomePod such that one or even multiple HomePods will appear in the "Connect to a device" menu on any Apple device WITHOUT having to connect through Airplay.  This will also allow users to ask Siri to play songs from Spotify on their HomePod(s).

Apple is opening up the HomePod, and I know there are many other HomePod users that would love to have native Spotify support on their speaker.

It seems that what this comes down to is one fabulously wealthy organisation chasing another even wealthier organisation in an attempt to become even more fabulously wealthy. So the nearly 2000 votes just don't matter to them. And their silence is their way of telling us without putting it into words.

And I haven't been asked to do feedback for a while. Probably coincidence.

Honestly, I no longer care... Actually today I received Sonos One speaker pair, since I wanted to switch ecosystem from Apple Music + HomePod stereo to Spotify + Sonos One stereo but... it fails. I tested some music that I listen to, and the difference is like between the photo with and without HDR. Without HDR the sky is just light grey and with HDR I see all the sky details -- the same here -- Spotify+Sonos in a specific example (Open by The Cure) gave me headache in the intro, while Apple Music + HomePod is quieter, I admit, but just a little and also -- what is much more important -- I can hear all the guitar strings separated one from another, not a constant noise like in Sonos.

Sorry Spotify -- I am sticking to Apple. And the topics you raise in your anti-Apple campaign are not related to me -- I can buy subscription outside of AppStore (no 30% 'tax') and I can look for marketing promo inside Spotify or in the email, but the issue of not being able to easy play your music on HomePod is a showstopper here.

I received a HomePod for Christmas, and I'm incredibly disappointed that Spotify is refusing to add support. I like Spotify's UI, but it's easily replaced by Apple Music and the Podcasts app.

I've ordered my HomePod Minis (estimated arrival in Mid-January) and it is incredible that a market leader like Spotify does not provide integration to State-of-the-Art Devices (and even has a voting ongoing, that's like asking a human to vote if he actually needs water). Hopefully the integration is released until then, otherwise I will have to cancel my Spotify subscription and switch to Apple Music,

I received an HomePod Mini for Christmas and I'm very disappointed that I cannot have full support of Spotify whereas Apple is now allowing it. Please Spotify team take this feature request into consideration.

I know I can send audio via AirPlay to my HomePod but integration and voice assistance with Spotify is really what’s missing. I know with a company like Spotify you have a team of developers that could easily work on having this availability with HomePod, like Apple Music, Amazon Music and Pandora already do on HomePod. I want to know how long will the public have to wait to get this Integration before people will start changing to another music Service provider.

Just a reminder to everyone: Spotify has wanted this since HomePod launch in 2018. Spotify made a website dedicated to the issue. And it's still up. Now Spotify pretends it doesn't exist, and won't acknowledge HomePod by name anymore.

Spotify is acting childish. It's just not that hard to implement - they have done it for iOS devices. They have apparently decided Airplay 2 and HomePod support are just not worth their time.

Apple Music is fine. My 1 month AM trial will be up mid-January, and at this point, I'm going to sign up.
