[iOS] Implement Native HomePod Support

Details

Just this week at WWDC (June 22, 2020), Apple announced support for third party music services on the HomePod.  I'm requesting that Spotify implement native support for the HomePod such that one or even multiple HomePods will appear in the "Connect to a device" menu on any Apple device WITHOUT having to connect through Airplay.  This will also allow users to ask Siri to play songs from Spotify on their HomePod(s).

Apple is opening up the HomePod, and I know there are many other HomePod users that would love to have native Spotify support on their speaker.

I am also waiting for Spotify support for Homepod OS.   Apple music is very tempting as it already works with Homepod OS.  Now Pandora does too.  I really want to stay with Spotify and I hope Spotify implements this soon.

Also just canceled Spotify. As did my father who got two homepod minis after hearing mine. I was frustrated by apple music before but it's gotten better and and homepod thing is a dealbreaker.

Not sure it will make any difference... but it is important to consider that people will be moving to Apple Music if this support doesn't come soon.

I'd being reluctant to switch to Apple Music, but only for this I will consider to do so once I get my HomePod.  I don't know others, but once I change I don't see coming back easily

Hello Spotify,

I was waiting to upgrade to premium until native HomePod support was added. I would like to know your intentions on this topic. I was convinced this support was coming but now I am not certain give that the HomePod classic went out of production. My preference is to work with you. Apple has already sufficient leverage and we do not have enough tech companies in the EU, however I do need a system that works seamless on my homepods.

If native support is coming I do not mind to wait a bit and will already upgrade to premium in the mean time, but if the decision is made (for whatever reason) not to implement could you also let me know? Thank you in advance for giving me some clarity on your intentions.

Please implement spotify + homepod integration. I don't want to switch to apple music, but using spotify + homepod mini not is not convenient.

Spotify is a joke. Hello Apple Music. Please do remember to cry that you lost subs because of Apple's 'monopoly' and not your incompetence to support the most lucrative ecosystem properly.

Cancelled premium and switched to Apple Music. Works so much better and has me actually using my HomePod mini. Funny thing is, if Spotify announced HomePod support today, I’d probably be back. I’m not holding my breath though. Spotify, stop playing games, it’s alienating your customers

Apple allows this to work. Spotify doesn‘t care. That is the problem.
Ignoring this feature request further on will bring me to cancel my Spotify subscription and changing to Apple Music.
For me there has never been a reason to do so, but now there is.

Also interested.

Why I am I unable to upvote this? I thought you guys had a working concept with iOS 14 beta, so why remove this feature? I have been a spotify subscriber for more than 10 years now and this is the only feature that will make me switch to Apple Music. I have 5 Homepods at home and I am sick of having to use AirPlay to play my music. I know Apple can be hard to work with but as a long time Spotify user, this would add immense value to my subscription.
