3-dot menu on Now Playing View crashes iOS app

Hey folks!

We're getting reports that accessing the song menu (3-dot menu) on NPV is causing the app to crash on iOS devices. This is being looked into.

Hey folks,

We're happy to announce that this should now be fixed for everyone - just make sure you're running the latest version of Spotify.

If you're still having trouble, make sure to post a new thread in the relevant help board here.

Cheers!

Hey folks,

This should now be resolved 🙂

Make sure your apps are up to date and, in case you spot this again, try removing your cached data or performing a complete clean reinstall of the app.

Should the issue remain, let us know what your device is, alongside its OS version and your Spotify app version.
Cheers!

Used to use the sleep function every night…this is killing me…now I’m up at 2am and can’t get back to sleep.

I’m also having the same issue. Have tried logging out, reinstalling the app and rebooting my phone but nothing has worked.

Same issue for me - I’ve reinstalled multiple times to no avail

It’s so annoying that this issue hasn’t been addressed - I really enjoy listening to podcast as I fall asleep but without the sleep timer function working it’s been a bummer

Same issue for me-- clicking the three dots on the currently playing song causes it to crash. This started happening after I updated Spotify to version 8.9.96.547.

iPhone 8 Plus

iOS 16.7.10

Spotify 8.9.96.547

I’ve just updated my phone to iOS 18 and that looks to have fixed the sleep timer issue. Hope that helps

The IOS update fixed mine as well - I usually hold off on those to avoid problems like these haha.. Thanks for posting the solution!

Hi, I have the exact same problem. It has been like this for a week now. Please let me know if you figure out how to resolve it and I will do the same for you 😞 it only happens on my

phone, not on my laptop.
