Playback issues related to the next song in the queue

We received reports that upon attempting to play a song that's been added to the queue manually (via the Add to queue option), the playback stops completely and the play buttons on the Now Playing View become greyed out, thus preventing advancing to the next track.

In case you're experiencing this issue, make sure to give it a thumbs up and provide us with the following info:

  • your device's make, model and OS version
  • the exact version of Spotify you're running
  • the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far

Thanks! We'll pass the details on to our tech folks so they can look further into this. In the meantime, try clearing the queue via the Clear queue button on the desktop app / Web Player to see if that does the trick.

I have this issue on my phone only, where it stops after playing just one song. I have the most recent spotify version, tried clearing the cache on ALL devices, deleted and downloaded the app twice and I also tried some “tricks” meant to fix the issue (messing with some crossfade options, switching device from web browser to phone). Nothing seems to work

Same, i did a clean reinstall and it worked, but the next time i used the pc there was the same problem. I also deleted every file i found with the name Spotify in it. On my phone it works, only on windows there seems to be this problem. Is there any other way to fix it?

do you know how to fix it because it’s happen to me this week and i updated my ipad and still nothing happened:(((

I can only listen one song that I click on, the following one does not reproduce if it's on the queue or on automatic play mode, only if it's a playlist.

same issue... its difficult to enjoy music without having to create a playlist of my queue (if that makes sense!) reinstalling, clearing cache etc did not resolve the issue. ive been just listening to music without a properly functioning queue

My Question or Issue

Da circa un mese a questa parte Spotify per Windows 11 (64 bit) 1.2.53.438.g246d60c9 con piano Free, non riproduce più in automatico. Devo cliccare su Play per ogni brano. Succede solo a me oppure è una limitazione introdotta di recente? Soluzioni?
