Playlist scrolling position resets when navigating away from the app

We received some reports mentioning that the position on the playlists resets when navigating away from the app. This is currently Under investigation by internal teams.

Same thing is happening with my S22.  It is very frustrating and I have had to do three clean installs over the years every time this happens.  I think I am just going to end up going to another music provider next time this happens again.  It is 2025 and they still haven't come up with a solution to you problem from 2022.

Same problem.  Galaxy S22 Ultra with Android 13/14/15.  Has always had same behavior and this is extremely annoying with large playlists.

This has been a persistent problem with the Spotify app for months now. I found a temporary solution where I would quickly go to the album of the song/track on the playlist (such as liked songs), go back into the playlist, screen off/lock screen, come back on, it's in the same place, as it should. But now that temporary fix doesn't work, and I can't find a single way around it. It's almost as if every update of the Spotify app exacerbates this issue. There's clearly a bug here!
Spotify, please try and figure out this maddening issue. It's making the whole experience very frustrating and I'm sorry to say, NONE of the basic solutions for a lot of things (such as reinstalling, clean wipes, empty caches etc etc) work. So please, get onto this issue!! Otherwise, you'll find many customers going to your music streaming competitors, such as myself, if this doesn't get solved...

Anytime Spotify goes to the background whether it be switching apps or the screen turning off any playlist scrolls back to the top. It should definitely save the position as long as the playlist is opened. Even if I go to now playing then click back to go back to the play list it should start with whatever song is playing not scroll back to the top. It's so annoying.

My Question or Issue

Whenever I am using my Liked Songs list I noticed it resets at the very top of the list after every time I navigate to another app and then go back to Spotify. This is inconvenient and a serious time waster if you have a long list of liked songs. Why would you program an app to auto-rescroll to the top of a page?! It's asinine.
