Playlist scrolling position resets when navigating away from the app

Hey folks,

 

We received some reports mentioning that the position on the playlists resets when navigating away from the app. This is currently Under investigation by internal teams.

We’re happy to say that this should now be fixed for everyone with v. 9.0.44! Just make sure your app is updated to its latest version.

I have OP nord CE3 and got this same issue some time last fall.. Was losing hope but i think i solved it, or atleast on my device. The issue was battery optimization setting that was set to "optimize" and once i turned it "dont optimize" for spotify the issue stopped. Now no more pointless scrolling!!

I found a temporary fix for this and that is to install the app version from October 24th. The issues only seem to happen after these updates. You can use an external website to download this version of the patch at least until it gets updated.

Hi. It only happens on my liked songs playlist. Doesn't make a difference if I play it through my phone or headphones. Unfortunately I couldn't get anyone else to try their account on my phone, although I think it's just purely an app glitch that's happening or maybe a refreshing issue? I don't think it's an account issue from what's happening. Hope what I have provided is helpful?

My Question or Issue

Everytime i open my liked numbers and i scroll in it, which you know sounds normal when u say put it at the bottom it normally sticks there. While for me it shoots up to either the top or a specific space in the list. It doesnt stick. Now mind u i got almost 500 songs in there the scrolling gets annoying FAST. I tried reinstalling but didnt fix anything, looked for it on here but saw no one reporting the same issue.

Same problem. Nothing fix it. This is getting mighty annoying

How many songs does yours have? I feel like maybe my almost 500 songs is the issue but idk if others share that

I tried it didnt do anything for me. So unless u can show more of how u fixed it maybe u dont have same issue as us

Hi oscar, this is clearly a bigger issue with alot more people and not a simple fix. They should look at this.

As mentioned by @Eni previously, we can confirm that this is currently being tested. We really appreciate your feedback about this and will make sure to pass it on to the right team. When it comes to the testing, we're always looking for ways to improve the app and user experience, so you might see something other users don't, or get a brand-new feature to try temporarily.
