Playlist scrolling position resets when navigating away from the app

We received some reports mentioning that the position on the playlists resets when navigating away from the app. This is currently Under investigation by internal teams.

We’re happy to say that this should now be fixed for everyone with v. 9.0.44! Just make sure your app is updated to its latest version.

Hey folks,

 

We received some info from internal teams mentioning that the version 9.0.44 of the app should bring some improvements in this matter. It should start rolling out soon, so we'd recommend keeping your app updated.

 

As soon as you get the new version, check and let us know if the playlist keeps the position as it should.

Seems like it's fixed for me with 9.0.44.471/s23 ultra/Oneui 7

 

Can you not break it again next month? That would be awesome

Still an issue on 9.0.42.529 on Pixel 7. No app update available, stuck on 9.0.42.529 as of this comment.

I can confirm that the latest version (9.0.44.478) has fixed the iasue for me. Now Spotify please try hard not to break it again.

For me the songs don't move to the place where I want them to in a playlist. After saving the changes in the playlist ,only one song was bought up on the list. I moved all the songs of an album to top because I was arranging my playlist but after 3 attempts only 3 songs out of the 7 were where I wanted them to be. I almost 200 songs in this playlist and moving an album from bottom to top is bothersome enough for one time let alone three. 

Kindly help me with the same.

Just tested it, confirmed app is up to date on latest iOS. Still no change.

Can you confirm the exact Spotify app version you're currently running, and send over a video where we can see what you're experiencing? You can attach it to your next response or upload it to another platform like YouTube or Google Drive and send a link to it. Make sure to hide any personal or sensitive information, and to give it the relevant permissions if you decide to upload it somewhere else.

 

We'll be on the lookout.
