Recently played artists section not updating

We've been seeing reports from users that the recently played artists on their profile are not updating, while recently played in listening history is working as expected.

So that’s it? It’s just not going to be fixed, huh?

Personally imo i think it’s impossible that for over the course of 48 hrs not a single member of the staff has noticed a bug. Or they just looking out for specific features required to function i.e. shuffle button, audio issues, playlists etc. I don’t think they even consider this much of an issue and they know the hands are tied

my recently played artists are still not updating in real time. they're still updating 15+ hours after said artist was listened too. i'm hoping this issue gets fixed soon

Contacted support, asked me to clear cache, delete and download, turn my phone on and off. I explained thousands of people have the same issue and they said IT, are working on it. Super annoying and delayed service! I will delete and rejoin Apple Music.

Contacted support and they assured me they were working as fast as they can to get it fixed whatever that means

I got a update from Spotify staff.

 

I've had three tickets made, the case was escalated to a higher team. All members of staff over the last 5 days of communication have concluded that no further troubleshooting, the issue has been identified as an account issue, NOT A DEIVCE ISSUE.

 

(If you have setting for public display of listened to artist turned off, you are causing your own issues)

 

All team members are acknowledge all further troubleshooting is exhausted and the only thing to do is wait for [Spotify] to update the app on the back end to fix the issue. 

 

 

 

 

 

Not all users are being effected which is probably why there is such a delay to the fix. 

 

 

 

From my findings is this problem has occasionally effected users sense 2019. Personally if I can't cool off from frustration the last 5 days of wasted troubleshooting has caused, ill be leaving the Spotify platform. If I can calm down about it.... I'll remake my damn account, merge all my playlists over, recustomize them, and painstakingly relink the new Spotify account to all my social media platform's... don't forget about unsubscribing and resubsribing with a new email.

 

 

 

Good luck to you all, I won't be posting an update till I get issue resolved or not at all if I abandon this issue.

I’ve reached out to the SpotifyCares account on Twitter and I get the same response as we get everywhere else: Our developers are aware and working on, hopefully it will be fixed soon.
