Search in "Add to playlist" menu not working

We've received reports that the search function in the "Add to Playlist" menu doesn't work properly. When something is searched, it causes the menu to become unresponsive. The issue appears to be predominantly on Android.

Our own testing and the info from you shows that this issue is fixed in version 9.0.96Make sure your apps are up-to-date and perform a clean reinstall if necessary to get this rolling again.

Thanks for all the replies and the info you've provided.

 

We're happy to report that a fix for this has been deployed in the latest version of the app 9.0.96, which is now out for both Android and iOS. Make sure your apps are up-to-date and let us know if everything is resolved for you. Perform a clean reinstall if necessary to bring the app in working order again.

I'm having the same issue as everyone here. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and it still won't search my playlists when typing in the search bar while going to add a song to playlists. 

 

I really hope this gets fixed soon!! Anything I can provide to help I will.

I've been having the same issue. 

I have lots of playlists so having the option to find them quickly was so appealing and helpful. Plus now to exit the add song to playlist section now, I have to hit the return button a few times on my phone. 

Hopefully Spotify gets the bug fixed quickly!

The exact same thing has been happening to me. The search bar doesn’t work anymore. When I type nothing happens, it doesn’t show results and doesn't even recognize the characters.

I’ve already tried clearing the cache, reinstalling the app, logging out/in, everything.

This is taking way too long to get fixed. I use the feature a LOT so it's extremely inconvenient.

Looks like a visual refresh bug to me! If I switch apps, after typing, and come back, the filter is applied.

I have the same problem since the beggining of the week.
My version is not Beta.

Apparently they have no UI unit tests. The end-user is the test-user! Bad practice.
