Downtime April 9th: Windows desktop client downloads not working in Asian regions

Hey folks! We're aware that some of you (particularly in regions of Asia) cannot download the desktop client at the moment. The page shows an Error 500. Tip: As a workaround you can try downloading the app via the Microsoft app store.

Pressing Volume Down button sets volume to Max on Alexa speaker

We've received multiple reports that when playing Spotify on Alexa powered Smart Speakers via Spotify Connect the volume gets set to maximum when pressing the Volume Down button on the connected mobile phone.

Can't cancel subscription on account page

We've received reports that Premium users are unable to cancel their subscriptions from the account page. Nothing happens when clicking the Continue to cancel button. This is currently being investigated.

Random podcasts are unplayable

We're receiving reports from folks, who are unable to play random podcasts on mobile and desktop app. When playing podcasts, the progress bar is stuck at 0:00. There are no issues when playing music though.
