Last.fm is not scrobbling

Last.fm is not scrobbling

I have windows 10 (desktop) and the Spotify application. I try to disconnect and turn on the plug again. I log out of the spotify application and log in again. It still does not work. scroble works only by open.spotify.com. Please help.

I got my scrobbles back after disconnecting and re-connecting. I even got the ones from offline play on my desktop version the night before.

So this might be new. I keep reconnecting/disconnecting, and last.fm says the track I currently play is scrobbling. After the track ends, it says the next track is playing and will not count as a scrobble for the previous track.

Please advise

It's 2022 and this problem still persists. Every now and then Spotify stops scrobbling and until you notice and can apply the fix, you will miss quite some scrobbles. That's really annoying.

For me, the problem is there with all apps. No matter if I use the app on desktop, Android or FireTV stick - once scrobbling got stuck, it doesn't work for either.

Literally nothing i try work and ive tried everything what on earth is going on

to anyone disconnecting their spotify from last fm and it isnt working. try logging out of spotify instead and logging back in. it worked for me.

didn't work

op didnt work, this did

Tried as the solution suggest. Removing Last.fm App from Spotify list, disconnect and connect but doesn't scrobble right now =(

Hey folks!

We had an Ongoing Issue recently that may be affecting the way the app interacts with Last.fm.
You may check it out and leave a Like in case you believe you are affected by the same thing 🙂
Aside from that - you may try logging yourself out of the app & back in twice in a row to trigger a manual refresh of your data.
Check if that makes a difference and let us know!
We'll be on the lookout for any new responses.
Thanks!

I removed: first the connect on last fm, then on spotify account approved applications page, then reconnected it from last fm granting access on the pop-up page, scrobbling started to work instantly, with all the tracks that I've listened to while it wasn't showing up 🙂

Thanks!

My scrobbling doesn't work on my laptop. I've tried restarting my laptop and disconnecting and connecting spotify from last fm so many times, nothing works.

Same. Scrobbling doesn't work.

also, make sure both "last.fm scrobbler" and "last.fm player" are disconnected at that link if it still doesnt work!

Or just open the browser player and connect a device, choose browser from player and voilà, the scrobbles appear. Then you can continue with the apps.

Thankss

Hey for some reason it’s still not working after I disconnected my Spotify, any more tips?

How many times a week are we supposed to this because it happens all the f*cking time.

this is happening to me too. i've disconnected and reconnected several times and i've even reinstalled the app. works fine on mobile and web player but desktop just doesn't

removing last.fm as my approved app from spotify has worked for me !
i tried multiple times to reconnect my last.fm account or disconnect spotify from the website & it didn't work ;( but with this solution i could even get my scrobbles back !

I have a really weird issue. Scrobbling doesn't work from my work's machine, but as soon as I play a song on Spotify at home from either my Windos 10 desktop PC or my mobile phone, they appear.

It's weird because it's Spotify that's telling last.fm that a song is/has been played, and it's building up the queue of failed songs to send over - so I can't imagine that it's anything to do with my work computer firewall, for example.

Can anyone suggest anything here? Doing the usual unlink with last.fm from their settings page, or removing last.fm's permissions from Spotify itself doesn't do anything - but these would not be related to the *client* here, since it's all server-to-server communication that's happening outside of my machine
