I Can only have a new Spotify premium every 12 months?

My Question or Issue

Okay so i really need help, i have had Spotify premium before. But then my dad could pay that month. Didn’t think much of it, my mom then said. Sure I’ll pay. She then startet a Spotify premium subscription. A family one. So I’m really happy. I then try to join. And then a message comes in. “You can only join Spotify once per 12 months” and I want my premium. So can a professional please look at this for me?❤️❤️

Thanks for coming to the Community.

 

Unfortunately, you can only switch plans once every 12 months. This restriction only "activates" after already switching plans once, which means that you were already part of 2 Premium Family plans within the last 12 months.

 

You can always re-join the plan you were in last, or wait until the 12 months are over.

Unfortunately, you can only switch plans once every 12 months. This restriction only "activates" after already switching plans once, which means that you were already part of 2 Premium Family plans within the last 12 months.

 

You can always re-join the plan you were in last, or wait until the 12 months are over.

You have these options:

  1. You'd be able to join the plan you were in last (one made by the account of your dad)
  2. You have to wait 12 months from the date you switched plans

I need to add my girlfriend to my family subscription plan, but I can't because of 12-month restriction imposed on her account. Can you, please, make an exception to let me add her to my family?

My Question or Issue

Hi,

Basically subject. I heard we can only switch to different Spotify Families once a year, is that the case? Or is there no limit to do so?

The reason I'm asking is because my ex-partner is the current family head. I joined back when I lived together with their family. And now, I want to join the one under my Dad's as I will be living with them indefinitely.

Realized how good premium is so I thought I'd ask first, so I don't lose premium.

And can you tell me more about how this works?

i was on a family plan, but i was not the manager and i left the plan to go join a duo plan which i am also not the manager of. when i clicked on the link trying to join, the site wouldn't let me, saying i had to wait 12 months between switching to another plan i did not run. (as i get it i can start my own plan in this time but i can not find anywhere where it says that i am not allowed to join plans under different management.) is there any way to avoid this and join the duo plan as soon as possible?

I have the same issue with my sisters and mine account. It would be helpful if we could get an answer on how to fix it and join the duo plan. 

Ich habe mir soeben nachdem wir ein Familienabo für die gesamte Familie hatten ein DUO Abo für mich und meine gelöst... ich kann meine Frau aus demselben Grund nicht einladen. Jetzt lösen sonst lösche ich das Abo direkt wieder!

My son removed himself and added himself to a friend's family.  I was able to remove him from the other family, but now I cannot add him back to mine. HELP!
