Being Charged But Didn't Sign Up

I'm seeing Spotify charges on my Credit Card statements but I did NOT sign up. The charges start immediately after the free trial through my phone company expired. My records and the phone company's records show that I cancelled before the deadline. How do I end payments and, ideally, get reimbursed for charges I did not approve?

Check with your friends/family to see if anyone you know subscribed with your payment details, or learn how to find accounts. They can then follow these steps to cancel.

If you think your details have been used by an unauthorized party or anyone else you're not able to contact:

  1. Go to our contact form.
  2. Select Subscription, then Other.
  3. Click I STILL NEED HELP.
  4. Select Premium as your type of subscription.
  5. Under Your Spotify username or Facebook login, enter "unknown".
  6. Under Your email address (registered to your Spotify account), enter the email address you'd like to be contacted on.
  7. Fill out the other details and submit.

Same think happened to me, Spotify also make it very hard to cancel your account there being no way to do it on line, which is extremely annoying, and smacks of the sort of tricks scammers use.

You can cancel your subscription anytime by following these steps. Just make sure you're logging in with the correct account when doing so. If you don't know the account you're being charged for, we recommend checking if you have another Premium account following these steps.

My Question or Issue

 

I have no idea how I signed up and there is no user name linked to my emails.  I am billed 19.99 per month.  This has apparently been ongoing for some time.  I need this cancelled now, there a seems to be no easy way to communicate with Spotify without an account.  Admin, please have cust service reply on this thread so I can contact.

hello there, my account number is **bleep**, and I'm the owner of this account. I don't even know why I'm being charged as a membership at Spotify and I'm really disappointed at you, please issue me with a refund! i did not make that subscribption at all thank you i need my money back
