Gift card code not working even it was activated

My Question or Issue

I just bought a gift card of 100 mxn and I redeemed the code but it says it's not valid. So I went back to reactivate the gift card but the employee told me that it was activated so she suggested me to dial the number behind the card. I called but the number doesn't exist
