So I got a Redeem code from Microsoft Rewards and it just won't work it always says ''sorry, you are not eligible for this subscription'' if I type the code in its just pretty weird.

I can't seem to redeem my code for Spotify premium - my friend gave me the code since he already has Spotify premium but I can't seem to redeem the code is it because of the regions we are in or it's just expired?
