Payment failed

Payment failed

I tried with a prepaid Visa giftcard I received and with my real Visa Credit card but I still get the message that the payment failed even thought I have enough funds or space for the payment. I tried buying it through my PC (incognito tab too) and through my mobile device on wifi and data mobile. (Tips provided through other threads) Nothing works! I'm close to giving up as I have been looking for answers and trying since yesterday without answers...

Has your payment method been issued in the same country as the one registered on your Spotify account?

The country of your payment method must be the same as the country of your Spotify profile. That's what allows us to check your position.
Find out how to change the country registered in your account.
Has the card expired or has it been cancelled?
Contact your bank or credit card company for more information or to apply for a new card. Try logging in again after updating your banking information.

Have you entered all the information correctly?
Make sure you enter your data correctly, especially the three-digit sequence on the back of your card (the CVV/CVC security code). Also make sure you have enough credit:)
Is your card activated for purchases abroad as well as for online or recurring transactions?
To find out, contact your bank or credit card company. You may also need to activate online 3D Secure transactions (for example,"Verified by Visa" and "Mastercard SecureCode").

 

Try another payment method. You can choose between several payment methods. Try again by selecting another payment method than the one you have already used. OR Contact your bank or credit card company.

Its phone number is usually written on the back of the card you are trying to use.

Thank you for taking the time to answer. I ended chatting with someone from Spotify and found out why I couldn't.

 

What happened is that I tried to buy the Subscription with a Visa Giftcard but I didn't know I had to do something before buying anything ONLINE. I tried a couple of times and found out about it. Went on the internet and filled everything to make it possible. However, Spotify has a feature where they block your profile if there is too many failed attempt. You have to contact Spotify for the to clear it for you before you can buy it for real. I hope it can help some people with the same issue since you can't possibly know without contactin them directly.
