Student subscription Belgium

Hey there everybody, 

I just wanted to pay for an student subscription in Belgium because here I am studying and my Spotify account correspond to the country/uni. However, I get stuck when I want to pay. My credit card is from France and I get an message that Spotify is not available there (and it is!!). My "problem" is that in BE credit card are not so often but debit and I cannont use that one to pay. Is there any solution except making somebody else to pay for me or making another bank account? 😄

P.s. The only option available for countries is Belgium so I cannot even have the normal premium account

Hey @Crina1,

Unfortunately not, you'll need to get a credit card issued in the country you're studying in. Otherwise, you won't be able to claim the Student Discount.

Thank you for your answer! I understand that I cannot have a Student subscription but what about a normal one? Because I cannot change the country on my profile... 😞

Hmm. Is your country setting set to Belgium at the moment?

If so, I'd recommend trying it again when you're in France and your account's country setting is set to France.
