ads in Premium?

Why am I seeing this ad in Premium? If this is normal then I will be cancelling my account. It even comes back when I hit not interested. This is not cool.

I am sorry to see this. Could you let me know what your subscription status says here? If it says Free, follow these steps and attach a screenshot of your Receipts page. Make sure to hide sensitive information when you’re posting to the Community.

If it says Premium, try logging out > restart the device > log back in in the Spotify app, and let me know if you’re able to use your Premium features, such as no ads, unlimited skips.

You can also follow the steps provided in this support article and let me know if they make a difference.

Thanks for the suggestions but alas none of them worked or didn't apply. I've been a Spotify Premium member for maybe 5 years now and the site agrees with me that I'm current on my payments.

I'm using the Debian version, but this is a recent thing so I suspect someone, somewhere changed something. I'm still getting them today. New ad that goes away if I tell it I'm not interested but if I come back the to homepage it's there all over again.

Thanks for trying those steps! I took a closer look and the promotional content may reappear within the app. It's not ads being played while listening but it's an in-app promotion. I'll make sure to pass your feedback on to the right folks.

Thanks for your help. Yeah it's just the inline promotions. No in-music ads. 🙂
