All my playlists have been filled with Enhanced recommendations. I read up and found to remove them I just needed to click Enhanced, so I did and a few were removed but the majority remained - so for now the playlists are just about unuseable.

So is there a way to totally disable Enhanced with automatic clean up of everything it has polluted - it's an appallingly intrusive feature to force on customers

I use the mobile version on iOS. I also don’t have an enhance button on my playlists and I don’t have the shuffle with the sparkle. I’ve found that there is a disable ‘Autoplay similar content’ option in the Playback in your settings(cog on top right of homepage). It seems to be working so far for me.

How do I get rid of enhanced permanently?  When I'm offline AND out of cell coverage, I cannont play my liked songs because the enhanced feature is on and when I go to turn it off, the app tells me that I'm not connected to the internet or I'm offline. **bleep**.  So my liked songs won't play.  I do a lot of backcountry skiing and backpacking so it's usless to even try spotify when I'm not connected to the internets or cell coverage.  Really frustrating.  I just want to turn the function off permanently.

Hey @Mondo63,

Thanks for posting your comments here.

In this case, we'd suggest you perform a clean reinstall of the app on your device. By doing that, the app can be up-to-date and you can make sure the cache is not leading to this inconvenience. Be aware you'll need to re-download your playlists after you finish the reinstallation.

After that, we'd suggest making sure the enhance/smart shuffle is disabled on all the playlists you re-download. By clicking the enhance button at the top of the playlist, you'll disable it. These features don't activate by default, so this should do the trick. You can also make sure the feature is not active on other devices on which your account is open. That way, when using Connect, the app is not going to sync your choices.

😂😂i feel you cuzz

I have finally figured this out. It is sort of automatic. It's smart shuffle. When you hit shuffle on a playlist, it automatically goes to this and adds a new song every 3rd song. You have to hit shuffle again to get rid of the "stars" in the icon and it will be normal shuffle.

Issue has been resolved.

Spotify nobody wants your shitty ai recommendations how do I switch this off? Or  maybe I just switch platforms ?

It says I need premium to turn it off, how do I do it without premium?
