My Question or Issue

The playlists that I created in the past are gone, or at least, I cannot find them. They are not in my library. I did not delete any of them. Where can I find them? Thanks for the assistance.

Hey @NeilAD

Are they missing in both of your devices?

Try logging into your Spotify profile on your browser here with your email. Your username will be displayed after you login.

After that, check the status of your subscription. If everything looks ok, logout of the app in your device, and be sure to use that username, instead of your email address, to login to your account. It's the one with the Premium features, and should have your playlists in it.

Hope it helps. 🙂

Hello, orsonios. Thank you for this information. I apologize for this late response.

To answer your question, no, my playlists are showing up in Spotify on my iPhone. They are not showing up in Spotify on my iMac. I should note that my late 2014 iMac is still running Big Sur OS 11.7, which is 4 versions behind their current OS 15. When I start Spotify on this iMac, a window appears at startup stating that my OS is behind and that certain features of the app may not work. Could this be my problem? I have found nothing on the Spotify app or website stating that old OS's may result in the loss of Spotify playlists.

Thank you for taking the time to help me.

I'm not sure, since I can't test it myself, but I don't think that's it. Using an old OS shouldn't be a problem, as long as you're using the official Spotify app.

Have you tried logging out, and back in like I suggested? Just to be sure that you're using the same profile in both devices.

Yes, I tried two times, logging out and logging back in. The issue persisted. However, I believe I've found the problem, and it seems to have been the result of my misunderstanding of the interface.

The Mac version of Spotify lists near the top left 'Your Library'. When I went to my library, all that appeared was the tab 'Albums'. When that tab is active, all the other tabs disappear. I had earlier added an album to the album column, and that was all I saw. Today, I removed said album, and, behold, all the other tabs suddenly appeared, including 'Playlists'. When I activated 'Playlists,' all of my playlists appeared. I did not understand that when one of those tabs is active, the other tabs are not visible. Problem solved.

Thank you for your help and patience. I have appreciated it very much.

Blessings,

Neil
