Unwanted items in library

hi, I’m new to the community here and I hope somebody can help me. I have posted a screenshot of my library so all of these I guess playlists are in here that I didn’t put in there and I don’t want them there. How do I get them out the only things I want in my Library is what I put in there. So how do I take care of that? I have posted in another thread that the smart shuffle thing is driving me insane too, but I see they just did an update so I’m hoping that nothing gets added to my playlists now or suggested music for me to listen to because that’s where a lot of this stuff is coming from and I don’t want it. Can you help me?

Thank you for your message.

Just to clarify, it's considered as normal behavior of the app having in the home page "recommended for today", "new releases for you", "based on your listening" and other boards because that's how the Spotify algorithm works and that's how the app is built, so you can discover new music all the time.

On another note, you can identify any recommended music content on the Now Playing Bar as it will have a label next to the artist name, like this one:

 

Also, bear in mind that you can disable Smart Shuffle in your mobile app to avoid those added recommendations by following these steps:

1. Tap your profile picture at the top.
2. Tap Settings and privacy.
3. Select Playback.
4. Switch Include Smart Shuffle in play modes to off if it's on.

Lastly, it's also worth checking if the "Autoplay" option is enabled in the same Playback section of the configuration.

I like to have shuffle on I don’t want smart shuffle and I didn’t think I had smart shuffle on. But still I don’t like all those under my library I wish only the playlists I made would be there

The screenshot you've attached actually showcases the Home page, not Your Library. The 8 cards shown at the top are shortcuts to content you've recently interacted with, while the remaining sections on the Home page are usually various recommendations from Spotify which you might like. They aren't necessarily part of Your Library, unless you've manually saved them via the (+) button. This dynamic content is subject to change and frequently updates based on your taste profile.

Your Library can be accessed from its dedicated button located on the bottom and it's where you'll find your playlists, saved albums and the artists/shows you follow.

💡Tip: You can hide certain episode- and playlist suggestions from the Home page by tapping the three dots menu and selecting 'Not interested'. Feel free to give it a try, if you haven't already - just make sure you're running the latest app updates.

Ok Spotify is up to date. There is no 3 dots next to anything but Woosan.
I even have tried deleting my 2 other playlists and it won’t even delete
them. I am beyond frustrated

Currently, it's not possible to remove items from the Home page. As @Yordan mentioned previously, only certain recommendations have the "Not interested" option, which, if selected, will hide the content.

On another note, you mentioned that you tried deleting 2 of your playlists, but weren't able to. Could you let us know if you tried to delete those from Your Library or from the Recently played on your Home page? If you tried to delete them from the Recently played section on the Home page, we can confirm that it's not possible, but you should be able to delete them from Your Library by following these steps.

There is no deleting these. Hopefully you don't look up something or play something for somebody else and now you got that on**bleep** for 6 to 8 weeks. It is annoying as **bleep**. I don't know why you can't change it and I am exploring other apps because I don't like that feature at all. I pay premium. Why don't I have the customization option?

Yeah, and if you do them options then you don't have the features of like music automatically playing. So yeah, when you're driving you'll get to hear the same song 50 times in a row. Unless you manually go to your phone and switch it. That is dumb. That is not a solution that is just telling. Why don't you just say no you can't change and get used to it. **bleep**ing deal with it
