Internet Connection required for Spotify Connect

Would have been nice to know that Spotify Connect requires the wireless network to have a connection to the internet in order to allow the devices on the network to control one another.  That means you can't just walk into a room with an iPad, iPhone, and an Airport Express and set up a nice remote-controlled sound system for a party, or wedding, or whatever.

You have to get the wifi router on the internet first so the devices can be in "online" mode.

Yup, Spotify Connect requires Internet because all devices calls home to check on each other so that they are all in sync. Hope that clears it up.
