My Question or Issue
Is there some way to save our own "custom" equalizer settings (or at least alter the presets)??
Especially in this day of zillions of different speaker and headphone types, it is VERY helpful to adjust EQ for particular situations. The presets provided, for me, are not nearly as good as my own custom tweaks (fine tuned to my various playback devices). It seems CRAZY not to have the ability to save our own preferred settings -- am I missing something???
Hi there @ShaktiBaby,
Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!
On mobile you can adjust your Equalizer settings to your music preferences. Those should remain intact on your device. There is however no way to set a default EQ setting for each different speaker or sound system you connect to.
If you think other users might also like it, go ahead and create an idea on the relevant idea board. We always take new ideas and feedback into consideration to improve the app. Here you can read more on how ideas work.
We also suggest checking this help article for useful tips on how to submit an idea. As a heads-up, it's good to know that the higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for the idea to be implemented.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any more questions.
I think u should add custom eq options. Like I’m my boat I like diff settings than in my vehicle. Quick click on preset eq would be nice.
This is the one feature I’ve been hoping Spotify would add for a long time. It would make the user experience way more enjoyable by getting rid of the inconvenience of having to manually tweak the equalizer settings so often
Hello music lovers!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the possibility to save equalizer presets within the Spotify app.
Going forward, we'd like to refer you to the Idea Exchange in the Community for any further feedback you might have and suggest you add your +VOTE to this idea.
As @Alex already mentioned, the Idea Exchange is a great way for us to see what our users are interested in and how many people like a certain idea.
This is a feature that is sorely headed. A lot of music apps have this feature. I’m not sure why it would be so hard to implement in a new App version, especially with the amount of money that Spotify makes from its paying customers. Rest assured we will continue to complain about this until a fix is released.
Please, let’s make this happen. How can we consider ourselves a serious audio app when something like this is missing?
