My Question or Issue

Alright so I’ve got an iPod seven but I also have an iPhone, I’m logged into the same profile on both devices, in which then I will open the app on both devices, plug in my iPod to the radio and go about my workday, it’s been working for me for the most part but recently, I will have my iPod playing music on the radio, it will just random and sometimes in between songs, just stop, I’ll open up my iPhone that’s in my pocket so I don’t have to walk across the shop to the iPod and change it, but then all of a sudden my iPhone is not connected to my iPod anymore and I can no longer change music from my iPhone on my iPod, it used to be able to do that, like four hours ago… now anytime I click a song on my iPhone it’ll redirect all audio to my iPhone, but if I click a song on the iPod, it’ll redirect everything to the iPod, it never used to do that so I’m wondering if maybe the app updated or something, I can’t even queue up anything anymore, and the only time it’ll reconnect and give me any false sense of hope is when I tap the same song on both devices at the same time, then it’ll just redirect to the iPod and then I’m good to go, but the second I go to queue anything or change the song or rewind it. It completely just poops the bed:/

Hey @Andrewjay164,

Welcome to the Community and thanks for the screenshots and detailed description of the situation 🙂

Having read the description, it seems that the connection between your devices might possibly be breaking. Corrupted cache can often cause different performance issues, so as a starting step and if you haven't already done this I recommend giving Spotify both on your iPhone and iPod a clean reinstall

Additionally, make sure that there are no pending software updates on both.

Since you're using the Connect feature to control playback from one device on to the other and they need to be on the same Wi-Fi, it's also a good idea to make sure that you've got a stable internet connection and restart your router just in case.

Thanks and let us know if any of the steps made a difference.

I have an ipod nano.  I also have an Iphone 14.  i would like to put my play list from spotify to my Ipod but cant seem to get it to work.  HELP!!!!

Hey @SUZIEQ-1953,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

We can confirm that it's not possible to play your Spotify playlists on an iPod nano as it doesn't have a native Spotify app and it doesn't have Wi-Fi or internet connectivity either, which is necessary to play music on a streaming app.

Also, taking into account that the tracks downloaded from the Spotify app are not saved in a playable audio format (Mp3, WAV, FLAC, etc) it's not possible either to copy the downloaded files to your iPod nano as it'll not recognize them as audio files to play it.

Hope this helps. If anything else comes up, the Community will be here for you.
