Playlist will not play

Hey I have a question about a playlist issue I have. I own an iPod touch 4th gen and use spotify on it, and whenever I add a song to my playlist, I can't play it. No matter how many times I click on the song in my playlist it won't load and play. I'm not a premium member and always use spotify online. Any reason why this is happening? Thanks

On Spotify Free you can only listen on shuffle mode, not select the tracks you want to play. Is there not a shuffle play button on the playlist screen?
