13 Pro Max12 Pro Max:

I’m having an issue with the waveform display. Both of my phones are running iOS 26.3.1, but the iPhone 12 Pro Max shows a coloured waveform while the iPhone 13 Pro Max only shows it in grey.

I’ve already tried every accessibility setting I could find and everything else I could search for, but they still look different.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any idea how to fix it? thanks

Could you help me with the Spotify App Version for both? You can check this guide on how to get the app version.

It is also worth performing a clean-install of the app to make sure that you have the latest version and there's no cache lingering around.

Hi the Spotify version is the same 9.1.44.2119. And tried to delete app and reinstall. Same.

Could you confirm if you are using data saving mode by any chance? Check out this article on how to turn it on/off in the Spotify app and make sure data saver is off in iOS settings as well.

Once done, please check if that makes a difference.

hi I can confirm both devices are not using data saving mode. And every settings on both devices are the same. I even changed the language to make sure they are 100% identical. but still the waveform looks different.

At Spotify we're often testing new things which means you may occasionally see some app changes that are not present across all devices. Some features might change (or get removed) over time, helping us build the way for new improvements.
