Bug Report:

some of my locally stored songs will no longer sync to my offline playlists on my phone. these are live versions from promo CDs, not available on Spotify. these songs in particular have a forward slash / in the ID3 tag title; no other songs in the playlists are affected. the error message i get is "Song not synced. If you own this song, you can sync it from your computer"
the error message appears regardless of whether the phone is connected to spotify on the PC or not.
if i replace the / with another character e.g. semi-colon ; then the problem does not occur.

i'd be grateful if this could be fixed in the next update.

cheers : )

@fay

There is a current bug in the iOS app that causes some local files with (parenthesis, commas, dashes, etc.) to not sync. This might be what is causing you to have problems syncing.

The developers are currently investigating this bug. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Landscape mode has been removed from the newest update. Annoying. (iPhone 6)

The iPhone app has never had landscape mode.

If you want landscape mode, add a kudo to this idea:

Really? I recently changed from Android to IOS so I just figured it was there before....my bad!

@skeletons

Ahhh... haha no problem.

I don't use landscape, but hopefully it will be added in the future for those who want it.

I have some local files which seem to be corrupt .. if i listen to them spotify crashes. but if i remove them on pc from all playlists and add them new .the local copy on the phone is not removed and wil again be used with the same problem 😞 is there a way to remove songs, without removing the whole app and all songs?

@PeterMuc

In the iPhone app find the "Local Files" playlist at the top.

At the top right of this playlist tap on the three dots "..."

Tap on edit

Red minus circles should now appear next to all the songs.

Use these circles to delete songs.

They are not deleted ... if i add them again .. they are immiditatly there .. so i see that there is no new sync 😞

I'm finding that the local files that I have synced to my iPhone do not have a green circle to the left of the song name to say that the song is available offline even though I am able to play the song offline. Any ideas why this might be happening?

I don't see any local files on my iPhone 6 Plus (64GB) anymore. Only the songs in playlists are still there, but all other songs added to my library are gone. On my Mac, I still see them.

when i browse my folders and playlists spotify freezes for about 20 seconds

- i just switched from iphone 5 to 6
- i have a lot of playlists and folders
- reinstalling the app didn't help
- airplane mode doesn't help

worked before with iphone 5, also with version 2.2.0

I noticed that the "Your Music" section got a redesign... not sure if it's just me though, since all of the official screenshots on the App Store and on Spotify's website show it the old way.

What I'm referring to is that it used to show the categories (Artists, Albums, Songs, etc.) at the top, and the interface scrolled horizontally. Now it just shows the categories in a vertical list, and you have to move back a page from any category to change categories. I definitely preferred the old view.

Am I crazy? Am I missing something?

@robshoy

The new Touch Preview feature conflicts with swiping between sections. That is why it has been changed.

The main view after clicking "Your Music" is now the Recently Played section.

Many people wanted Spotify to add a "Recently Played" section. So they did. It's a win win, I guess.

To get to where you want to go, you have to use the menu at the top.

It is now like that on all the mobile apps (iPhone, iPad, Android, and Windows Phone)

The screenshots in the app store haven't been updated yet.

But to get to my playlists is extra click. Which is annoying.

I hate it

Hi, I am having the same problem as fryheit, my Spotify app is also freezing for ~20 seconds at a time when I browse my playlists and folders. It was working fine before the update.

- I have an iPhone 5S

- I am a Premium User
- I also have a lot of playlists and folders

- It seems to stall most around playlists that I have made available offline.

@adlawson @fryheit

Do these playlists have local files in them?

I've seen a few similar reports. I'm trying to gather as many details so I can let the developers know.
