This thread is an attempt to capture how many people are experiencing problems with the spotify iphone app.

If you are experiencing regular crashing problems with the iphone spotify app, please write which iphone model you have, which IOS and which version of spotify you are running and finally if your iphone is jailbroken. Also include approximatly  how often the crashes occur per playing time

Please only post once to this thread so its easy to count the number of people having this problem.

In some respects, this is like a petition.

APPROX CRASH FREQUENCY: Every 40 mins of playing time

@allishep - Have you tried a clean reinstallation and restarting your device?

Today I started to have the same problem spotify crashes for no reason. Sometimes when I change songs. I have an iphone 5s with the latest iOS 7 and spotify app update 😞
I used it everyday

@ccaarrllooss4 Could you try restarting your iphone by holding the the Home and Lock buttons together for 10 seconds and see if it helps.

I have an iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4, Spotify version 0.9.3.212 and my app crashes every time I try to open a new session. Once it crashes, I repopen and it is fine.

The App won't let me Shuffle. Not inApp an not in de Lockscreen. Every tap is delayed with some seconds, and one tap to much crashes the App.

as a digital and web designer mysefl, i have to say, I LOVE the new design - very slick!, but the App seems so buggy and it's Lagging so much when i use it on offline mode!

On the previous version, it was super fast! i could switch songs by swiping or clicking the 'next' icon and they would work seemlessly, but on this new app whenever i try to skip a song, the whole app freezes for about 5-6 seconds before working - it's really frustrating when i click 'shuffle' on one of my playlists and try to skip through songs but the app is so slow i get bored and end up just leaving it and listening to songs i don't reallywant to.

But, i'm guessing this is because it's still a new build?

I sincerely hope this is fixed soon in an update, otherwise im gonna cancel my premium membership - why pay extra money per month for an app that doesn't respond as well anymore?

App crashes randomly and lags whenever I change songs or pause/play. 

Response time is often greater than 20 seconds for actions within app. 

Song may change but album cover and title shown will remain as the previous for some time (>20 seconds).

Phone is an iPhone 4 running iOS7.1

Just updated to the newest version of the spotify app (snazzy new look!) and that's when all of the issues started. Previous version worked well!

every time a song ends, about 5 seconds delay when i switch songs, crashes 50% of the time when I open the app from locked screen. Sometimes respond when I switch songs from locked screen

Issues I have is that when I am playing spotify if an alarm goes off with spotiy playing of freezes my entire phone . Also I am use to letting my spotify app open now when I let it open after so long the app will crash in the middle of a song or it will stop responding to any commands.

I have also tried all the suggestions on this post and still have the same issues.

I like the new app design just would be nice to have the performance issues fixed. If this continues I may have to cancel my subscription .

Having alot of app crashes freezing my phone. The music takes a good 10 seconds  to change between tracks. Also the app is logging me out and asking me to sign back in losing all of my offline files. This app was the whole point in my subscrpition please fix so I dont have to cancel.

running the newest version of spotify on ipod touch 4g IOS 6.1.6 is the worse app expirience i've ever had. the 0.9 version worked perfectly, now the app is slow, glitchy, unresponsive at most times, and crashes often. the app is nearly unusable and unbearable. there needs to be a fix, or the option to downgrade to an older version, as i am unable to retrieve an older version from itunes on my computer.

I'm getting the same problems after the latest update. It takes anywhere between 5-10 seconds after you tap skip for it to go to the next track. And the app crashes often.

I do like the new UI design (except for the unnecessarily large 'shuffle play' button). Just wish it would function properly like it used to.

Are you definitely using v1.1.0 on iOS 5? I'm pretty sure Spotify requires iOS 6 or above (from the App Store).

My Spotify app is crashing on my iphone 5 with latest ios. 

Spotify verision is 1.2.3344

I am using bluetooth in my car via ford sync.

I am using radio button and when I click on thumbs DOWN... it moves at a very slow pace until it just crashes. When I click on thumbs down, it tries to go to the next song, but it take a long time....

Do you need any more info?
