This thread is an attempt to capture how many people are experiencing problems with the spotify iphone app.

If you are experiencing regular crashing problems with the iphone spotify app, please write which iphone model you have, which IOS and which version of spotify you are running and finally if your iphone is jailbroken. Also include approximatly  how often the crashes occur per playing time

Please only post once to this thread so its easy to count the number of people having this problem.

In some respects, this is like a petition. 

My details:

IPHONE MODEL: 3GS

IOS 5.1

SPOTIFY VERSION: 0.5.2.374

APPROX CRASH FREQUENCY: Every 40 mins of playing time

JAILBROKEN: YES

Crash Frequency: within 10 seconds of playing

Jailbroken: No

Premium Subscription: Yes

Spotify app crashes within 10 seconds if track starts and phone put to sleep whilst connected via 3G or WiFI.

If in offline mode, the bug doesn't exist.

Also, the app is incredibly slow.

with new spotify 1.4 it crashes when i hit search, search anything , and load song.

Spotify immediately closes.

it did not do this before 1.4

@fantastic6 are you still experiencing crashing on the lastest iOS version? Please install the latest update and let us know how that works for you. 

@bumpass1 could you confirm your iOS version for us?

Same here. Play directly from search result = crash

The process seems to actually get suspended instead of closed.

No matter if 3g, WiFi or both are on.

Clean install did not help.

Today it actually played about a second of a random search result i tried before it crashed. This happened only once. All other attempts result in crash.

I have the same ios version on 5s and does exactly the same thing. Closing the app and restrating the phone didn't help either. This is getting very frasturating now.

Sometimes searching is enough to crash the App, sometimes after a couple of minutes streaming music it just crashes. Same with my wife's IPHONE same specs

After the 1.5.0 update, which automatically signed me out, the app just crashes after logging in. It loads after I put my correct details on but then crashes as it tries to load. Without an Internet connection it doesn't not crash.

So I am upset that  my spotify app wont even let me log in to my account. 

I have an iphone 4S iOS 7.1.2 and the app was working great until the last few days.

Every time I tried to log in with my username/password or facebook it would look like its loading and it just crashes.

I've tried deleting and redownloading the app, I've closed the app and reopened it, I've restarted my phone to see if there was any changes but nothing happened

If anyone has a solution to my problem, please let me know. Thanks a bunch.

I also had the same issue after downloading the latest version 1.5. I was talking with them about two weeks ago but they told me that they have not been able to replicate the issue. 

I am not sure if the developers and QA are doing a great job to make sure that all version, model, and firmware can run the app. I miss it using my iPhone. I hope they will release a new update to fix this one already.

My Spotify crashes once every hour or so. Futhermore, when going from Wifi to 3G the music stops and the apps sometimes crashes. Plus, when the phone is locked, there is a signal (beeping) noise over the top of the music intermittently. Once unlocked the noise instantly stops. The only way to get rid of it is to quit the app and start again - very annoying. This noise happens once every hour or so too! The latter problem is solved by going into offline mode but this is obviously not ideal!
