Search for add to playlist is gone

My Question or Issue

When I tap the "+" button to add a song to a playlist, I see the playlist selector but I no longer am able to see the search. I used this feature extensively, where to quickly find the playlist I want to add the song to, I would search for it. 

Is there a setting somewhere that disabled this? How can I get it back?!

Could you try logging out and signing back in to your account twice in a row? This triggers an internal refresh of the app that may help here. It's also worth performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article.

If possible, check if the issue persists with another account (a friend's or a relative's would do). You can also try logging in on another mobile device to see if you'd be able to search in your playlists there.

In case the issue persists, please share the exact version of Spotify you're running.
