On some, but not all tracks, the music will start at a certain volume, then automatically drop quite a bit. To listen at the volume I'd like, I have to raise the volume, but then the first few seconds before it automatically drops are really loud. It happens with the built in speaker, over headphones, and over bluetooth, so it is not specific to how I play the tracks. This is not new to the latest update; I've been having the issue for a while. It does not affect the same tracks played on the desktop player, so I know it is not the content of the song. Is anyone else having the same issue? Has anyone found a solution?
Solved! Go to Solution.
The volume goes up and down up and down up and down its like a DJ is turning down the song for some sing along parts. Its random. Does not happen in the same spots on the same songs or playlists. At this point i'm giving up as it's unusable and with this happening for over a year its a safe bet the engineers are really challenged. Bye bye Spotify.
I've also attached a nice little screen shot of the 'Technical/Help Forum' that leaves you stranded with no way to actually fill out some kind of bug/reporting form.
I have the same problem, volume lowers automatically both on playlists that i have available offline and other tracks.
Just happened, seems to be happening both on cellular network and on wifi. I havent noticed it on windows desktop or ipad ios, but often on iphone 5s. When i restart the app the volume works.
This is VERY FRUSTRATING!!! For the past month the volume on my S5 keeps automatically lowering darn near every song. I've tried ALL of the 'solutions' on here and NONE work. I feel like I pay $10 a month then this should work. I would hate to leave Spotify but If there isn't a way to fix it I will stop my subscription with them. How in the hell is there no way to fix this? Too many people have the same EXACT issue on several different devices so it has to be SPOTIFY causing the issue. Some one PLEASE Advise on how to fix this annoying & frustrating issue!
i believe it should be enough to completely disable auto-play videos&music in facebook. havent had any issues since i disabled that option.
this isnt related to facebook. Happens even with all apps closed. Happens to too many people on too many devices. Tried everything. For me, ruines the experience and im cancelling my subscription until there's a solution and spotify can promise me a quality i deserve for 10$ a month
Worked for me! Problem solved. Thanks
I'm experiencing this same problem on Windows 7
I had a similiar problem: sometimes (when opening certain apps or webpages) the spotify music volume was lowered. When I turned off "Reduce the volume when windows detects communications activity" (Sound > Cummunications > Do nothing) this behavior disappeard.
I hope this can help someone with the same problem.
