The execution would be similar to Amazon's new Beta feature "Watch Party" where an Amazon subscriber is able to navigate to a chosen movie in the Amazon catalogue and select the new "watch party" instead of "play". This generates a unique sharable URL that can be copy/pasted to friends who are also Amazon subscribers and they can watch the movie together, with the original user in control of pause/play functions.

Spotify users with this feature could share songs and playlists to friends and listen together in real time; great for mobile users but just as useful in the PC environment.
