Hello,

why cant i pay with ideal?? when i try to subscribe it only shows visa paypal and paysafecard where is ideal??

Im from the netherlands.

Unfortunately, iDeal isn't a recurring payment method anymore. You can still use iDeal to buy an annual subscription. For monthly subscriptions you can use VISA, Mastercard, PayPal or Paysafecard. Let me know if you have any other questions. I'm sorry.

That is a shame. I don't even have paypal, a creditcard or a paysafecard... I think this will cost Spotify a lot of users.

Why not anymore? It's ridicilous to push your clients towards a payment method which is not used by many people in the Netherlands. 

Ow wait... Only if you pay for a year. Then it's possible to pay with iDeal. This is a revenue driven decission, not a customer friendly one.

Anyways, just found out on Google I can transfer my playlist to competitors:

Deezer

Apple Music etc.

Hereby the options i get when i try to change my details. I used to always get the iDeal screen from here to make a payment. Real shame if this is discontinued because I do not intend to go out and get a credit card just so I can continue with spotify..

Unfortunately, it's not possible to pay with iDeal for family subscriptions. You can use iDeal to pay-as-you-go for Spotify Premium. You can still pay with your credit card for Spotify for Family. Let me know if you have any other questions.

You can still use iDeal to pay-as-you-go for Spotify Premium (pay in advance). You can pay for Spotify Family with a creditcard. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Ik heb een melding ontvangen dat ik mijn betaalgevens moet updaten. Hierbij kan ik alleen gebruik maken van een betaling met creditcard of paypal! Alleen heb ik geen creditcard of een paypal account. Hoezo kan ik mijn rekening niet met ideal betalen?
