So I just made the switch from Google Play Music to Spotify because my fiancee and daughter both use Spotify already. They are both Premium Users currently and I have a couple of questions:
1. Do they need to cancel their current subscription first?
2. Will they lose any of their downloaded music or play lists?
3. When I invite them to join my family plan, do they have to log in with my account credentials, or can they use their existing account credentals?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Hey @robertotaylor,
1. When you upgrade your subscription from regular Premium to Premium for Family, any remaining time that you've already paid for will be converted into a Premium for Family subscription, so this can bring your next payment date forward. You can review your renewal date on the subscription page.
Note: If you subscribed through any other company than Spotify, you will need to contact that company to cancel before signing up to Premium for Family. If your subscription is through iTunes, please see Apple's instructions for canceling: https://support.apple.com/HT202039
2. They will not loose their music, playlists etc 🙂
3. They have to login with their existing account details.
Hope this helps!

Hey @maximapple,
Your answer to question #1 is a bit confusing still. So basically, I joined Spotify and signed up for the family account. My fiancee and my daughter both have existing premium accounts that they've now had for a while. I invited them to join my family plan, so how can they join my family plan without getting charged? Do they need to cancel their current premium plan first? Sorry for the confusion.
EDIT:
Never mind, I found the answer on the FAQ page. Once the premium user accepts the invite and their current billing cycle ends, they will automatically stop being charged for their premium account. Thanks again for the help!
They will be added to the Family plan when their current billing period runs out and they won't be charged for Premium any further. The payment will then be handled by the admin (you)
Hahaha! Thanks! I found the answer at the same time you posted this reply. I appreciate it.
