My Question or Issue

I logged into my account and saw that I can't play a single song and absolutely all playlists are empty. I don't know what this could be connected with. Moreover, this problem is only in the application. There is no such problem on the website. What should I do to fix my account? I have already reinstalled the app.

We've passed your details on to the right team for further investigation. In the meantime, we highly recommend that you try a reinstall from the Play store whenever it's convenient to you, as that has been the confirmed fix for the issues you're experiencing.

Same issue with me.

I installed Spotify on brand new phone, where it never been installed, and Spotify doesn't work. 
Empty playlists, can't play any song. I didn't changed my country, so nothing to update in the settings. It just not working.

I reinstalled the app countless times, last time it was 4 hours ago but it's still the same. On browser everything is fine, but on phone the same as before like everyone else said. Playlist are empty, can't play songs.

Hey folks,

 

In order to investigate further, could you share what device you're using (exact model + OS version) along with the exact version of Spotify you're running? It's worth checking if there are any pending OS or Spotify updates and installing them to see if that helps.

I used latest version from the Play market this morning. No pending updates for app nor OS in my case.

Hi I have the same problem but on mobile 

I have try the :

- last from the play store

- 8.5.89.901 and update from the last

- 8.9.84.594 and update from the last

- 9.0.8.127 and update from the last
- spotify lite

 

and for each version and update from the last i still have the issue.

Same issue, works okay on PC, tried switching accounts, worked for a day then it stopped working again, all songs are hidden or greyed out. Whenever I switch from PC back to mobile it stops working and I can't play any songs.

Hello, 2 days ago my spotify app started misbehaving, showing empty playlists/liked songs or saying that songs are unvailable. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, nothing works.

Hi!

Come on, people from over sea with premium account, new  clean version etc, changing the country like you said and the problem keep unsolved only in android app, just have to admit something is wrong with spotify and not with users. Keep in mind that people pay an expensive price for this service, just have to be honest and stop telling the problem come from other people.

Also would be nice to remove "Solved" status out of this topic, as it's not solved.

The issue still persists, I cannot play any songs and nor can I view the contents of my playlists. This issue has not yet been solved. I am able to listen normally on PC but on mobile I am completely locked out from doing anything at all except see my account is how it has always been, but yeah cannot play songs and I can't see my songs in my playlists

Dear mods,

as the issue obviously still persists, could you please remove the "solved" indicator? 

And maybe move this issue to the "Ongoing Issues" tab perhaps, as they are already about 70 people already who have this problem.

It must be a problem on Spotify side as we all can see. Same happened on all of our phones in the family, laptops, tellies all good. Haven't been abroad on the past few months.

Waiting for a fix

I have the exact same problem of completely empty playlists on mobile, while all my data still works on desktop. Wasn't able to play any music or podcasts on my old account so I made a new account, which seemed to work for a day but has now gone the same way as the old account. 0 songs. Doesn't matter which version of the app or how many times I install/uninstall/restart.


I'd already started looking into alternative music apps because according to this post this problem has been 'solved', just not for me... nice to know it wasn't just me, and Spotify is the issue. I'm just hoping it gets fixed because I have years of data on that old account and I genuinely do like Spotify's service 🫤

Same issue as everyone else here, tried all sorts of things that they proposed. Nothing works, it is starting to feel like a problem from their side seeing how many people are struggling with the same troubles the last 24h.

Mate, I don't think anyone's problem has been solved. We've tried all their suggestions however nothing works. This is far from solved
