Can’t Access My Account

Can’t Access My Account

Hey there,

 

I’m using the Spotify app, but I can’t see my email or password info in the account settings.

 

I tried to log in on the website, but I don’t know the password. When I try to reset it using my username or email, it says:

“This email address or username is not linked to a Spotify account.”

 

Can you help me get back into my account?

Hey there @Iman93, thanks for reaching out.

 

If the email is not recognized, try entering any other email addresses you might have used to sign up. There are a few ways to sign up, e.g. with email, phone number, Apple, or Google.

 

Try logging in with these to find your account.

I tried logging in with all my emails and phone number, but nothing worked.

 

I only have my username, but it didn’t help.

I tried logging in with it, and it says the password is incorrect. I also tried resetting the password using my username, but I got the same error I mentioned earlier.

 

P.S. My username is very long, I think it’s an auto-generated one.

Do you currently have access to your account on any of your devices?

 

If so, you can go to you Account page to check what email you registered on your account.

 

You just need to click on your profile picture in the app and select the Account option on the desktop app or select Setting and privacy and then Account in the mobile app. 

 

If you don't have access to the account on any of your devices, I'll suggest you to follow these steps to see if they help you to find the right account. 

 

Lastly, you mentioned you know your auto-generated username, so maybe you're entering it incorrectly (for example a zero looks like a capital ‘O’, or a capital ‘I’ looks like a lower case L). I'd check it just in case.
