Hey,
I wanted to cancel my premium subscription.
So i logged in my spotify account, and started the cancel process.
But at the end it always tells me , that my password is wrong although i just logged in with the same password.
Very strange O.o
I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance

It is a very strange issue, but the best option is to speak to Spotify support

Support takes 24-48 hours to reply to you if they have not replied to you by tomorrow you can ask me here and i will escalate the issue for you 🙂
I hope this helped solve your issue 🙂
Hello @WOOOOOOOO, Welcome to the community! 🙂
Have your tried canceling the subscription in incognito mode?
Sometimes its a silly little thing that no one understands and this usually fixes it 🙂
I Hope to hear from you soon! 🙂
Thanks for your fast answer,
i tried to do it in Chrome incognito mode but still the same error 😞
This Bug / Error should be fixed very soon !
Mmm, this is a strange issue, i am going to escalate this to Spotify, they should get in touch with you soon 🙂
Just before i escalate this message, have you tried to clear your browser cache and cancel?
@jean3601
just did this but still the same error, i think that problem is on my account and not on my browser or anything else. Probably in my account is a wrong password deposited but then i dont understand how i can log in O.o very strange

Hey jean,
so the german Spotify Support has replyed. They first told me the same like you, that I should
use the incognito mode or another browser.
But they also offered to cancel my premium per email, so I hope this time it works on that way.
Thanks again for your (really fast) help 😄
Easier workaround solved it for me without having to wait 24-48 hours for Spotify to reply:
After the failed attempt at entering password (even though correct password was entered), there is a link to reset password. Do the password reset steps, and make sure the new password is just alphanumeric. Then go through cancel subscription and it works! Afterwards, you can reset back to your stronger password.
The bug is probably due to the subscription canceller not handling passwords in the same way the login hander does.
