Cancelled my subscription and still be charged $9.99

Cancelled my subscription and still be charged $9.99

I signed up for a free subscription in March. I tried it for a month and then canceled it, but not quite in time. I was charged in April. That's fine. But then I cancelled my account through the Spotify app. I looked back and it said my subscription was "free." But then I was just charged $9.99 again. I cancelled again and I went through all the 8 clicks and scrolls and all the times they ask you again and again if you want to cancel and I confirmed cancellation over and over again. but I'm having trouble trusting that it will actually work. Has anyone had that problem before? There's obviously no way to get in touch with them. I am beginning to think spotify might be like XM radio where they just keep charging you over and over even after you cancel. Ugh.
