Cancelling Student Discount

Cancelling Student Discount

Hello all,

 

I am no longer a student and I need to cancel my student discount.  I need to update my payment details and it requires verification of student status, which I no longer have.  Because it can't verify that I am a student, it won't let me change my payment details, and I'm about to lost my premium (2 days).  Can anyone tell me how to cancel this discount?

In this case, it's better to delete your payment info and cancel your subscription altogether. You will still be Premium until the remaining days of your subscription are used up.

What I'm suggesting you to do is this:

 

1. Go to your Subscription and payment overview --> http://spotify.com/account/subscription/

2. Click UPDATE DETAILS. If it shows below 'Would you like to cancel your subscription?' click there and cancel.

3. Check the box to 'Remove', and click 'Change' button,

 
Note: If you have your Premium active you won't be able to remove your payment info. That's why it's important to cancel before clicking UPDATE DETAILS.
 
After you've cancelled and removed your payment info, resubscribe to Premium with the new card info to ensure that your offline music won't be deleted and that your subscription will renew correctly when it's time.
 
Your payment card country must match your country in profile, and the country of your IP address.

Hi, I have recently applied for student discount for my Spotify account. I've been charged the $7.49 already except my subscription has not changed to student instead the account is still on the free subscription and I do not wish to continue with the student discount. Please help.

No matter if student verification was successful or failed, a temporary charge goes through. These are only temporary charges on your credit card and they should disappear in a few days. The only charge that you actually have to pay for is if you were successfully verified for the student discount.

Hi i would like to cancel my student discount premium option with spotify and use my school email for apple music. I cancelled my premium subscription but when i am entering my email in apple music it says its already in use.
