Card was charged, no receipt or indication on website or email.

Card was charged, no receipt or indication on website or email.

I opened an account today and I was trying to sign up for the Spotify student discount. I entered my card information, and then tried to select my college, however, It said that it could not verify my college and therefore i could not sign up for the discount. I then checked my card statement and it said that I had been charged the $5.00: Neither the Spotify website nor my email show any indication of upgrading to premium and I have received no receipt for the purchase , so I would like know why card was charged and what I can do to get the charge refunded or cancelled.

I've already tried contacting spotify support and they told me to go to the community page.

Welcome at the Spotify Community!

 

If you're sure the website shows you're on the free plan, I'd suggest you to get in touch with Spotify.

As you've already done that, I'd like to ask you if you did reply to the automated email which you've got (the mail which redirects you to the community).

If not, please reply to that email (even when it says no-reply) so a Spotify employee can get back to you as soon as possible.

If you don't get any reply after 48 hours, please let me know your case ID so I can ask someone to look into it for you.
