Change the default string of usernames

Hello all, how can get get my username changed as I am given a default string of alphabets and numbers for my spotify account. I my friends are unable to find my new spotify account. 

@Spotify, is there a way for me to do that. I have been cracking my head to change my username from my old spotify account and i realised it cant be done hence i created a new one and now my username is given a default on. This is really bad user experience and I hope it gets to be improved

It's not possible to change your username, but you can add a new display name so that your friends can find you on Spotify. More info and steps on how to do this here.
