Country setting but offline

Hi, 

 

I am sorry to bother you but I cannot resolve my issue so would appreciate any assistance that can be offered.

 

I have moved from UK to Australia with free service but am now permanently offline. Spotify advises me that I must change my Country settings but I cannot do this as I cannot go online. 

 

I have tried reinstalling/checking firewall so it must be the fact that I cannot go online as I am not in the country I am registered. 

 

I see that I can change if I upgrade to premium, which I had done before when living in Switzerland, but I understand that Spotify can be free in Australia and would prefer this service for the time being. 

 

To recap

Spotify advises I must change my country settings

I cannot change my country settings as I cannot go online. 

I cannot go online as I must change my country settings.

 

I will very much appreciate any assistance that can be offered.

You do not need to change your country within the desktop client, you change it here 🙂

Whats a Spotify Rock Star?

Thanks for your quick reply, however this also has a problem:

  1. To change your profile country you'll need to update your payment details.

The United Kingdom dropbox is grey and unselectable. I can click on to the 'update your payment details' however, this simply leads me to either reinstalling spotify (which i have done) or creating a skype premium account. 

 

Please can you assist me with how to change this when this dropdown box below is not functioning.

Hi, 

 

Yes, I did have credit card details still saved, thought they were not active. I have deleted them and have now been able to amend my country. 

 

It is now working. Thank you very much.
