Discover Weekly Not Updating

Discover Weekly Not Updating

Hi folks, 

 

My Discover Weekly has been stuck updating (13 days so far since last update):

Fortunately, it's one of my favorite DWs in a long time, so that's nice, at least. However, I'd really like to get this fixed, as it's my favorite part of the service. 

 

There's lots of reports about this happening, but none of the solutions suggested work for me. I've tried unfollowing/logging out/logging in, reinstalling the client (MacOS and iOS). The web client is also stuck. 

 

I don't have Twitter to reach out directly-- what's my best way of getting this resolved?

Thanks for coming to the Community. 

 

There's a feature on Spotify called Private Session, and when enabled, it won't influence the Discover Weekly recommendations.  Do you have this mode enabled?

 

Also, are you actively streaming music (saved music, other playlists, curated playlists)? Or are you just listening to your Discover Weekly playlist?

Can you check if it looks the same when accessing via a different network connection? A reinstall could also help.

 

Also, I'd recommend checking your playlist again on Monday (tomorrow) to see if it updates. Make sure to log out and log back in.

I’m not using Private Session at all.

I’ll admit that I was listening to the DW playlist quite a bit (because it was so good), but I was also listening to other things. I really haven’t done anything differently. I just checked and it’s still stuck (14 days now). 😞

Any other ideas?

Hi,

Thank you very much for your help. I had tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, both on mobile (iOS) and desktop (MacOS Mojave).

At around midnight last night (Early Monday morning here), it finally updated!! So I guess it just got stuck for a week.

Anyways thank you for your help!
