Hello Everyone!
I have a question about changing my email. I first became a Spotify user with an old Facebook account of mine under a different email (my main email). I had to delete that Facebook and started a new one. I managed to keep the same email on my Facebook, but not Spotify. I tried changing it back to my main email in my Settings, but it says that the email is already in use with another account, fair enough. I try to sign in to that email account on Spotify so as to reset the password, and it says the account is an inactive one. I'm guessing it's referring to my deleted Facebook account that was tied to that Spotify account. I really want to change my current email on Spotify to my main one.
Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂
You will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to get that inactive account removed for you.
If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.
Alternatively, if you prefer support via Twitter, please tweet @SpotifyCares.

Hi, Peter!
Thank you for the welcome and for your response. I greatly appreciate it. I have done just that, and I believe help is on the way. Also, thank you for the alternative tip. I did not know I could get help from them via Twitter.
Good day!
Hi,
I need to change the email address to this account. When Im trying to change to my address <snip>@hotmail.com it says that the address already is in use, but when Im trying to reset the password to the account that is connected to the same email address (<snip>@hotmail.com) it says that there is no account connected to the email address. Can you please help me and delete the account connected to <snip>@hotmail.com so it is possible for me to connect that email address to my current account (katrinnafve)?
Thank you!
@katrinnafve - I'm going to hide those email addresses to stop you from getting any spam. Its generally not a good idea to post your email address as plain text here on the community.
You will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to remove that extra account for you.
If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.
Alternatively, if you prefer support via Twitter, please tweet @SpotifyCares (which can sometimes be way faster!).
