Getting Premium, then switching countries.

Hi !

I live in Portugal, but will soon move to Spain. Since Premium is cheaper in Portugal, if i subscribe now, what happens when i move to Spain? Will i keep paying the same or will it change to the Spanish price?

Good question! If your account is set to Portugal and you're paying with your Portuguese card then everything else will stay the same!

But with the free account, when i go to Spain, Spotify forces me to change the country in the settings. Wont that happen now? Will i be able to be in Spain with Portugal in my settings?

I suggest that you upgrade your account to Premium before you move to Spain. That way, when you go there everything will stay the same and you won't be having any problem signing up. Spotify Free users can only use their service abroad for 14 days. Beyond that, you won't be able to access your account and upgrade/update payments.

Lastly, can i pay with a Paypal account associated with a Spanish card? Will i still be paying the Portuguese price?

I think not. Your payment card will determine your account's country settings. Say for example, if your account is on Free and is set to Portugal, and the payment card attached to your PayPal account is a Spanish card, then your Spotify account will switch to Spain when you upgrade to Premium. So you'll be paying the Spanish rate.

Sorry about my last reply. I meant, you can pay through PayPal but you'd be paying the Spanish price since the payment card linked to your PayPal account is Spanish.

Hi, I opened premium account in UK then moved to Ireland using Paypal from the start. I changed the country setting on my account profile and was kicked off premium. money is still paid via paypal monthly though. Cant get through to Spotify account department to clarify or rectify.
