Gift card trouble

I have an activated Spotify gift card and I just scratched it off to get the pin. When I type the pin in to redeem the gift card it says it's not valid.

There are several possible reasons you may find you're unable to redeem a Spotify Gift Card code to your account:

1. The code you're entering is simply invalid. Make sure you're entering the code as shown on the back of your card or on the receipt given upon purchase of the card.
2. For example: try 0 instead of O, and I instead of l (lower case L).
3. Your account was created through a discount promotion.
4. Your account is a Premium for Family account. (Spotify gift cards are not redeemable for Premium for Family or in conjunction with other discounts and promotions).
5. Your gift card was probably not activated when purchased. Please return to the store and ask for them to activate it.

I have a similiar problem. I scratched off the pin when I was scratching off the sticker. I used sissors and scratched off the letters I need to enter. Is there a way I can enter the gift card with the card # and activation #? Can I get the pin with this information?
