Help; can't see my android phone in devices

Help; can't see my android phone in devices

Hi all.

It's my first post here!  First of all sorry for my English. 🙂

as I said in subject when i open app in my phone and PC, i can't see my phone in devices for synchronization.

They connected to same wi-fi, I am using latest version of android app.

I reset my PC and phone, deleted app from phone and re-install it, but still didn't work.

I synchronized them few weeks ago, this function was working, but now it isn't.

Don't know what's wrong, help me please.

sorry, i just realized i posted my problem in wrong topic. as i said, first post 🙂

No worries about the right place to post 🙂

Try these steps to get your mobile to show in the desktop client:

  • Temporarily disable all firewalls, antivirus and other security programmes on your PC
  • Go into the router settings and make sure that UPnP is enabled
  • Restart your mobile, start up spotify and see if it now shows

If you still have issues, please shout.

Thanks, but didn't work 😞

I disabled firewall and defender

In router setting upnp is already open

also turned on network discovery on pc and closed power saving mode on phone

restarted phone twice or more, restarted spotify on pc

still same problem, getting angry, gonna throw phone to wall. 😕

Don't break the phone!

I'm surprised that you had to turn discovery on as that's usually the default for a home network - youur network is showing as a home network in Network and Sharing Centre?

nope it's showing as "special network"

reconnected, and still same, not home network.

Can you click on the "Special Network" then select Home Network in the box which comes up please.

there is nothing like that, cant click it, its not a link 😕 using win8 by the way, maybe it's different?

Ah OK. Not sure how this works in Win 8 but can you just check that the following are all enabled:

  • Network discovery
  • File and printer sharing
  • Media streaming

Maybe double-check that you haven't overlooked another firewall.

ty joe, you are the only one helping me 😞

i only have windows defender and windows firewall. i closed them, and opened network discovery , file and printer sharing, media streaming.

but still not working!

please say, i have many answers, solutions, ideas about that 😞

I'm running out of ideas I'm afraid. Have you made any changes since things last worked - new hardware or programmes installed on the laptop? If you go to control panel/uninstall programmes you can (at least in Win7) sort by date added - anything strike you there?
