I can't change my Country

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with my account. I can not change the adress to my actuall. I made my Account in Bosnia, where I used to live. I live for more than a year in Germany and it's still not changed. I bought now the Premium duo, and I can not add my wife, because her Account is German and mine is Bosnian still... What can I do here? I tried everything, even payment change, but it doesn’t work. Can You guys maybe change it in your System for me? I feel dumb that I pay for something I can't even use. Even tho, my payment goes over Paypal over German Card, still doesn’t recognize I don't live in Bosnia anymore.

Thanks for reaching out.

Even if a German payment method is linked to your PayPal account, there's still a possibility that your PayPal account's country setting is set to Bosnia, which is why the country setting on your Spotify account hasn't updated on your billing date.

I recommend updating your payment method again, but this time, to one that's definitely from Germany. Once that's done, your country setting will update on your next billing date.

Thanks for you answer. 

Sadly that doesn’t work seither. I have put the Card as payment, removed the paypal and still the same. Card is original German, German Bank German Adress. Even while changing the payment Version, I choosed change Country, and changed it to Germany. At that step it worked, because I noticed the price difference between Bosnian and German Version. But the issue is, in Profile it still says Bosnia and not Germany. 

Even the the price and payment method are German for sure.

It sounds like you're expecting the country setting on your Spotify account to change from Bosnia to Germany right after updating your payment method.

This is not the case, though.

As mentioned in my previous post, it will only update on your next billing date. 🙂
